I knitted this beautiful lace shawl using three shades of purple. The yarn I chose is a very lightweight 70% wool/30% silk blend that is perfect for a cool spring or summer evening. Although the shawl is delicate and soft, the silk gives it strength and just a little shine. The shawl has different yet complimentary lace motifs and a lovely pointed edging. Knitted bobbles add textural interest.

The shawl measures a generous 68″ wide and 30″ long, and was blocked aggressively to open the lace and show off the edging. This is a one-of-a-kind handmade creation to be treasured for many years to come.
